Sound Design & Composition

I have composed for National Geographic Channel, KFC, The Headliners (Sky TV), Etta Ermini Dance Theatre, Newington Dance and Signs of Life children’s theatre.

My approach to sound design is influenced by theoretical and practical research. Michel Chion’s ‘Audio-Vision’, Blesser’s ‘Spaces Speak..’ and filmsound.org have all helped inform my understanding of what the relationship is between sound and image, and what constitutes good sound design.

I like to use a mixture of natural and synthesized sounds and to get inside the concept.

I believe there is a time for using Absynth, a time for using Max/MSP and sometimes it’s a time for getting the microphones out and building from scratch!

I have an extensive library of sound effects, loops, orchestral instruments and a state of the art home recording studio which is set up for:
